Staffed completely by volunteers, this ten-acre park is home to approximately 50 different animals, including land mammals, exotic birds, waterfowl and reptiles. Visitors can view zebra, wallaby, alligators and emu while strolling along scenic walkways that wind through the numerous exhibits. Children are allowed to pet and feed many animals, including pygmy goats and potbellied pigs. The zoo lies in the Camp Lejeune area, seven miles northwest of downtown Jacksonville.
Open Fri. - Mon. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Tues. - Thurs. by appointment only.
Adults $6; Children (2-12) $5; Children under 2 are free.
